Design Overview

In a span of 3 months, we were tasked to design, construct, and implement a fully autonomous robot adventurer.

 

To tackle such an ambitious project, we first had to come up with ideas on how the robot was going to work, draft designs and calculations, then finally prototype, program, and implement our robot.

 

This section details the design process of the Mechanical, Electrical and Software components of Indy on the Rocks.

Design Proposal

To begin, we drafted a document detailing the initial designs of our robot, Indy on the Rocks. This document served as a reference for instructors to give us early advice, as well as a reference for ourselves. It allowed us to flush out major components of the robot prior to building anything.
